Property Manager

As Property Manager, Matt splits his time between managing several assets directly and overseeing our third-party managers for other assets. Coach Road’s diversified portfolio keeps Matt busy with several different property types including apartments, mini-storage, office, and retail. The diversity of this role requires Matt to wear a lot of functional hats, including: market analysis, due diligence, and customer relations along with property, construction, and operations management.

Prior to Coach Road, Matt worked for Bill Tysman Companies, a West Michigan-based trucking, storage, landscaping, and snow plowing firm that was acquired by Coach Road. Matt served as Operations Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the five divisions that comprised the company. Matt spent the first eight years of his career playing professional hockey for various organizations around the country. During that time, Matt moonlighted as a marketing and management consultant, helping the teams he played for to improve operations and fan experience.

Matt attended Saint Cloud State University, majoring in Recreation & Sports Management and minoring in Coaching. While at SCSU, Matt played Division I hockey and was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2002 NHL Draft.
